20 Combatant Groups

In this tutorial we’ll set up combatant groups.

Combatant groups can be used by battles, combatant spawners, etc. to create predefined groups. We’ll set up a few variations and also use randomized combatants, e.g. selecting one of the tanks at random.

Learn more about combatant groups in this documentation.

Navigate to Combatants > Combatant Groups, we’ll change the Default group and add additional groups.

0: 1x Random #

This group will just have 1 random member.

  • Name
    Set to 1x Random.

Combatants > Combatant 0 #

This is the first combatant of the group – and the only one in our setup.

  • Use Random Combatant
    Enable this setting.
    This’ll let us add multiple combatants for this group position, using 1 randomly.

Change the combatant of the already added Random Combatant 0.

  • Combatant
    Select Rat.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Wasp.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Snake.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Angry Snake.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Skeleton.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Bat.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Slime.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Frog.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

    Select Spider.

1: 2x Random #

Copy the 1x Random group, this time we’ll have 2 random combatants.

  • Name
    Set to 2x Random.

Combatants > Combatant 0 #

Just copy the Combatant 0.

Click on Copy.

2: 1x Tank, 1x Physical DPS #

Allright, time to get a bit more specific – for this group we’ll set up 1 random physical DPS (or fast DPS) and 1 random tank.

Add a new combatan group.

  • Name
    Set to 1x Tank, 1x Physical DPS.

Combatants > Combatant 0 #

Click on Add Combatant

  • Use Random Combatant
    Enable this setting.

Change the combatant of the already added Random Combatant 0.

  • Combatant
    Select Angry Snake.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Skeleton.

Combatants > Combatant 1 #

  • Use Random Combatant
    Enable this setting.

Change the combatant of the already added Random Combatant 0.

  • Combatant
    Select Rat.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Wasp.

Copy the random combatant and change the following setting.

  • Combatant
    Select Snake.

3: 1x Tank, 1x Supporter #

I think you get how this works – we’ll use random combatants for all positions, I’ll just list the combatants that are used for which positions.

  • Name
    Set to 1x Tank, 1x Supporter.

Combatants > Combatant 0 #

  • Angry Snake
  • Skeleton

Combatants > Combatant 1 #

  • Frog
  • Spider

4: 1x Tank, 1x Mage #

  • Name
    Set to 1x Tank, 1x Mage.

Combatants > Combatant 0 #

  • Angry Snake
  • Skeleton

Combatants > Combatant 1 #

  • Bat
  • Slime

5: 1x Tank, 2x Physical DPS #

Just copy 1x Tank, 1x Physical DPS and copy Combatant 1.

  • Name
    Set to 1x Tank, 2x Physical DPS.

Combatants > Combatant 1 #

Copy this combatant.

6: 1x Tank, 1x Physical DPS, 1x Mage #

Copy 1x Tank, 1x Physical DPS and add another combatant.

  • Name
    Set to 1x Tank, 1x Physical DPS, 1x Mage.

Combatants > Combatant 2 #

  • Bat
  • Slime

7: 1x Tank, 1x Physical DPS, 1x Supporter #

Copy 1x Tank, 1x Physical DPS and add another combatant.

  • Name
    Set to 1x Tank, 1x Physical DPS, 1x Supporter.

8: 1x Tank, 1x Mage, 1x Supporter #

Copy 1x Tank, 1x Mage and add another combatant.

  • Name

  • Name
    Set to 1x Physical DPS, 1x Mage.

10: 1x Physical DPS, 1x Mage, 1x Supporter #

Copy 1x Physical DPS, 1x Mage and add another combatant.

  • Name
    Set to 1x Physical DPS, 1x Mage, 1x Supporter.

11: 2x Physical DPS #

  • Name
    Set to 2x Physical DPS.

Combatants > Combatant 0 #

Copy Combatant 0.

12: 2x Physical DPS, 1x Mage #

Copy 2x Physical DPS and add another combatant.

  • Name
    Set to 2x Physical DPS, 1x Mage.

13: 2x Physical DPS, 1x Supporter #

Copy 2x Physical DPS and add another combatant.

  • Name
    Set to 2x Physical DPS, 1x Supporter.

Yeah … you can keep adding groups as you like, but that should be enough to have a variety available.

Save Changes #

And that’s it for the combatant groups setup.

Don’t forget to save your changes by clicking on Save Settings at the bottom of the editor.
