Set up general text settings, e.g. default button contents, combatant button layouts or combatant name list displays.
The text settings are found in Texts > Text Settings.
Default Buttons #
Define the content for default buttons:
- Cancel
- Back
- Use
- Give
- Equip
- Unequip
- Remove
- Drop
- Level Up
These buttons are mainly used in menu screens and battle menus. The default content can be overridden where the buttons are used.
Combatant Button Layout #
Define the default layout for combatant buttons in battle menus or combatant selections.
You can either display each combatant as a simple button with name and icon, or use a HUD as a template to create more complex button layouts with status information, value bars, etc.
The default layout can be overridden by each battle menu and combatant selection.
‘All Combatants’ Buttons #
Define the content of the buttons representing target groups in target menus:
- All Allies Button
Used for abilities or items targeting ally groups. - All Enemies Button
Used for abilities or items targeting enemy groups. - All Combatants Button
Used for abilities or items targeting all combatants (ally and enemy).
Combatant Name List #
Define how the name of multiple combatants will be displayed.
This is e.g. used in console texts when displaying a list of targets or when using the <equipped> text code for abilities to display the names of combatants that know an ability.
This can either display all combatant names (combined by separators between them, e.g. name 1, name 2, etc.) or only using the first combatant’s name.
Combatant Text #
The text used to display a combatant’s name.
You can use text codes to add content information of the combatant, e.g. <name> for the combatant’s name.
No Combatants Text #
The text used to represent when no combatants are available.
